SUMMARY:JAG GÅR PÅ SOL - A Farewell Concert for Åsa - ABO 2
DESCRIPTION:Our ensemble also encounters TIPPING POINTS – for example\, when a member leaves. Such a moment lies ahead: at the end of 2026\, our cellist Åsa Åkerberg will be leaving the ensemble. For over two decades she has decisively shaped the ensemble’s sound and collaborative spirit – her departure is a significant change for all of us. \nJAG GÅR PÅ SOL makes Åsa Åkerberg’s longstanding influence audible while opening space for new impulses. At the centre is a commissioned work by Ivo Nilsson\, complemented by five miniatures by Carola Bauckholt\, Ramon Lazkano\, Kristine Tjøgersen\, Séverine Ballon and Ricardo Eizirik\, each placing the cello in the foreground. The title comes from Edith Södergran’s poem Triumf att finnas till…/Triumph of Existing and translates as: I walk on suns.
