Guillermo Leonardini
Guillermo Leonardini (Bolivia – 1993) lives in La Paz – Bolivia, studied at the Plurinational Conservatory of Music, in the Music Career of Loyola University, and did his licentiate thesis analyzing Morton Feldman’s trios through Complex Systems. Also, he studied at the „Escuela de Composición“ 2015-2016 (with a grant from the „Hermann“ Foundation) with Miguel Llanque, Canela Palacios, and Sebastián Zuleta at the Casataller Art Space; and took composition classes with the teacher Alberto Villalpando.
At the 2016 Contemporary Music Conference, he premiered his Four Pieces for Orchestra; in 2017. In 2019 he won the 1st Prize in the XVII Adrián Patiño Municipal Contest of Musical Composition with his work „Sawu“ and the Composition Contest „Contemporary Music of Bolivia“ with his work „Él Viene y él va“. Currently, he participates in the in the Atlantic Compositions Course Latin America 2021 to compose a work for the 2e2m ensemble (France).
