Blind Husbands

With his debut film, director Erich von Stroheim delivered in 1919 a highly suspenseful and grandiosely staged drama set in the mountains about temptation, deceit and the state of marriage at the end of the Imperial and Royal Monarchy. At the center: an impostor and officer, played by the director himself, who not only chases the maids of the mountain hotel but also desires a married woman. The freshly composed music is by Andreas Eduardo Frank.
