Curiosity for tradition and modernity: the Ensemble Academy is a joint pursuit of Ensemble Recherche and Freiburger Barockorchester, two specialist ensembles, each internationally renowned in their respective fields.
The aim of the Ensemble Academy is to bring together the focal points of both ensembles and thus offer a forum for exchange.
The Ensemble Academy is held once a year. The exchange of perspectives about different performance practices plays an important role and horizons are broadened through new approaches to ensemble playing. In addition to a shared appreciation of music, the aim of the academy week is to impart specific skills for music-making in ensembles for old and new music.
