Madsen & Mundry

Allan Gravgaard Madsen’s music plays with quotations—and through Morten Riis’ (electro-)mechanical loudspeaker orchestra becomes a quotation itself, a re-composition. In the second half of the concert, the focus is on Isabel Mundry, who also works with existing material in her Dufay arrangements.
The project is produced by Foreningen 458 with support by Goethe Institute Dänemark, Augustinus Foundation, Danish Composers’ Society, KODA Culture, Danish Arts Foundation’s Committee for Music Grants, Aarhus City’s Music Committee, Sonning Foundation, Danish Soloist Union, KLANG Festival, Aarhus Unge Tonekunstnere and the Royal Academy of Music, Aarhus.
