Researching sound together – that’s what Ensemble Recherche has stood for since 1985. And we also pursued this activity during the corona lockdown, in times of #socialdistancing – together with the urban society and the online community. We were looking for sounds in three categories:
HOUSE MUSIC
What sounds within my four walls? We were looking for domestic sound sources from the woodlouse to the roof tile.
STREET MUSIC
What does “my Freiburg” sound like? We were looking for outdoor sounds of all kinds: from knotholes to Zasiusstraße.
REMIX
We were looking for existing material, regardless of the type of media: from ringtones and YouTube videos to memes.
